What is ScoutSity?
- ScoutSity is a Nigerian events platform where you discover events, buy tickets, roll with a squad for group discounts, take on gigs, and follow live competitions in the Arena. It works right across Nigeria, with a strong home base in Jos, Plateau.
How do I find events in Jos or across Nigeria?
- Head to the events page and filter by city — Jos, Lagos, Abuja and more — plus category, date and price. You can also just ask PANDAR, our assistant on WhatsApp, to point you to what's on.
How do I buy a ticket?
- Open the event you want, pick your ticket tier, and pay securely with Paystack. Your ticket becomes a QR code in your ScoutSity wallet, and it's scanned at the door when you arrive.
Is ScoutSity free?
- Yes — discovering and browsing events on ScoutSity is completely free. You only pay for the tickets you choose to buy, at the price the organiser sets.
How do I get into an event?
- Show the QR code on your ticket at the door. It's scanned once for entry — that's all you need.
Can I upgrade or transfer my ticket?
- You can upgrade to a higher tier by paying the difference. Transfers follow the organiser's own policy, and so do refunds — your ticket is bought from the organiser. If someone bought a ticket for you as a guest, you can claim it using its unique ticket ID. How refunds work.
What happens if an event is cancelled?
- Refunds are handled by the organiser, under their own refund policy — your ticket is bought from them. ScoutSity collects payments on their behalf and can't refund money they've already withdrawn. If an organiser isn't responding, contact us and we'll share what help we can. How refunds work.
What is a squad, and how do I get the discount?
- A squadship is a crew who each buy a ticket to the same event. When the crew fills up, everyone gets a percentage of their ticket price back in their ScoutSity wallet — a group discount for rolling together.
How do I host an event and sell tickets?
- Create your event in minutes, set your ticket tiers, then sell and scan tickets — all on ScoutSity. It works anywhere in Nigeria.
What does it cost to sell tickets?
- ScoutSity charges a 3.5% platform fee. Paystack's processing fee (1.5% + ₦100 on amounts over ₦2,000) can either be passed on to the buyer or absorbed by you. Your earnings land in your ScoutSity wallet, ready to withdraw to your bank.
What is the Arena?
- The Arena is ScoutSity's home for live competitions — talent shows, contests and fan-voting that play out on live scoreboards you can follow in real time.
What are gigs?
- Gigs are the paid work behind events — performers, vendors, crew and services. Browse open gigs and place your bid on the gigs page.
Is payment secure?
- Yes. All payments on ScoutSity are processed securely through Paystack.
